Andrew Leigh trawled dating sites to befriend women in the Philippines in order to access explicit pictures of children as young as five. But some of the evidence was lost when officers inspected them because Leigh remotely controlled the devices to delete the material as soon as they were connected to the internet. Leicester Crown Court heard how some Skype data was saved, showing Leigh had been in touch with women from the Philippines to ask if they had daughters between five and 12 years old. Leigh, 56, from Hinckley, Leicestershire, asked for naked photographs of young female relatives and sometimes provided payment. The court heard how he asked if the girls could engage in sexual acts with adult males but it us not known if it actually happened.
